Shay Williams-Garrett is a writer, speaker and relationship coach who is passionate about helping to empower women of all ages to not settle for less than the love experience they deserve. She is the author of "D.I.V.A. Don't Get Played: A Single Woman's Guide to Catching the Man of Her Dreams in 30 Days" and "Mommy D.I.V.A. Don't Get Played: A Single Mom's Guide to Catching the Man of Her Dreams in 30 Days." Known as "Shay, Your Date Diva" to her many fans, she graduated from Florida State University with a degree in biology. While working in sales for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the country, she had the opportunity to form bonds that allowed people to naturally reveal to Shay their relationship troubles. However, her expertise in dating and relationships really began as a newly divorced woman experiencing every challenge one could encounter as a single mom in the dating world. Her lack of knowledge caused her either to drive men away or consistently attract painful relationships. After one heartbreak after another, she decided to go on a journey to uncover the secrets of understanding men, the art of dating and what it takes to attract the right man to you and win his heart, no matter who he is or what a woman looks like. Shay used her research background to launch an experiment to date more than 100 men with in 9 months, read over 50 relationship books and interview literally hundreds of men, women and couples. What she discovered was common patterns in male-female relationships that either lead to happy, healthy relationships or painful, destructive relationships.
